At the end of a $60 million redevelopment, The Strand
has become the home of dining, entertainment and retail in the heart of Coolangatta.
“We’ve worked hard since our redevelopment to make sure The Strand is the first choice – whether you’re heading out to dinner, some live music at Boardriders or Cooly Hotel, want to have some fun with the family, or a cruise around our fashion retailers,” said Centre Manager, Rebecca Moore.
“Our leasing team is constantly on the look-out for exciting new tenants to make sure we have something to offer everyone.”
Over the last year, a variety of premium and national tenants have joined an already-impressive retail mix.
As the perfect entertainment partner to Birch Carroll & Coyle Cinemas, Timezone has joined The Strand, with 3000m2 of the newest games, dodgem cars, laser skirmish and bowling to make the most of family fun time.
Brand new dining options give customers a world of choice – with Pancake Diner bringing some old school American charm, modern Mexican at Beach Burrito, award-winning Japanese at O-Sushi or all your Italian favourites served up at Delizioso. Finish up with dessert at Max Brenner or a scoop of the cult-fave Gelato Messina.
Fresh food has been given a refresh, with Strand Fruit and Vege, Sunbaked bakery and Meat Merchants bolstering the fresh food people, Woolworths as well as ALDI. Healthy House has also joined the mix, offering an array of health-foods, organic products and holistic natural medicines.
The Strand’s boutique retail has been reinvigorated with a wave of fresh talent. Saltwater Silver, Olive and Vern, Dept of Swim and Four Letter Store are stepping up the fashion game of an already-stellar boutique line-up.
To round out the offering, Base Gym Active has taken up residence, offering a full service gym, and classes. Lorna Jane has incorporated their concept Active Living Room – bringing yoga and small group classes to The Strand. Recharge with a smoothie or shake from their Nourish café, or a coffee from one of the many outstanding cafes in The Strand or along Griffith St.
The Strand continues from strength to strength - constantly adapting and evolving, with the customer’s needs always front of mind.
